Educate a Child in Africa, Inc.’s Family Engagement initiative intentionally and systematically forge sustainable mutually beneficial partnerships between teachers and parents for the betterment of pupils. In preparation for the smooth running of the program for the 2016/2017 academic year, Educate a Child in Africa, Inc. held preparatory meetings with teachers of public primary schools involved in the Family Engagement Initiative in Limbe, Cameroon.

On the 21st and 22nd of September 2016, a team from Educate a Child in Africa, Inc. visited the different institutions that are currently implementing Family Engagement. The raison d’être of the visit was to communicate the modalities and innovations of Family Engagement for this academic year. The institutions involved in the program are Government Primary School Batoke, Government Practising School Botaland, Government Bilingual Practising School Mabeta, Government Practising School Unity Quarters and Government Practising School Bonadikombo.

The team from Educate a Child in Africa, Inc. and the teachers of the different schools agreed that, the pupils’ academic welfare is positively impacted when all the stakeholders in the education of the child are actively involved. The teachers acknowledged the impact of Family Engagement on the lives of their pupils, welcomed the new innovations and determinedly pledged to continue implementing the initiative.
